The America´s Cup Port is nearly 6 km from the tip of the North Marina to the tip of the South Marina, making it a long, slow journey by foot for even the most able-bodied visitors. The Trans-port makes this trek considerably more manageable, and with one of the 4 lines it is sure to get visitors wherever they want to go quickly and comfortably.

 

“Four Trans-port lines cover all the port, from north marina to south marina, Veles e vents, the clock building and the balloon,” explains Daniel one of the professionally trained drivers who will deliver you to your chosen destination anytime from 11am to 11 pm.

But the journey does not necessarily need a destination; many just hop on board for the fun of it, or to get a nice tour of the port. 15 month old Elena had a particularly good time as she and her Grandpa Luis took the trip from the South Bases stop to Park South to see El Globo and then came right back. “It’s the first the day we´ve taken the Trans-port and we came for something new to do, for the kids,” said Luis.

 

“It’s amazing that we can go to every point of the Port without get tired. We can go everywhere with the Tran-sport. We’ve been to the bases, the balloon and now we would like to go to Veles e Vents,” said Pilar and Paco here in the Port celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

 

For others, like those living on boats in the South Marina, the service is essential. Many visitors heading South on the Trans-port can be seen climbing on board laden with grocery bags and provisions greatful for the train making life a little easier.
