The on-shore Volunteers enjoyed their third Happy Hour at home, on the beach and terrace of the Volunteer Centre. They saw it in a whole new light after it was transformed for the evening with candles and lights from a place to chill-out to a cool dance area.
More than 120 On-shore Volunteers were there, starting the party with a barbecue and buffet set up on the terrace, and later moving on to great conversation on the beach, which was alight with candles. It was a chance for them to rediscover a place they usually come to for daily meals and a little relaxation.
Not even the shyest could resist the DJ’s music as everybody came together on the dance floor until the last song played at 1:00 at which point they moved on to one of the famous bars of the America’s Cup Port.
The Off-shore Volunteers for the Semi Finals and Finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup will be having their celebration next weekend at an “open door” day at the Regatta Operations Base with their family.
