Over 1500 people have filled in the registration form to become a Volunteer in the 32nd America’s Cup, and we would very much like to thank them all. Special thanks also to the 750 candidates who since the beginning of September 2006 have been interviewed.
We have already selected 510 volunteers for the positions on land, and 250 for the positions on the water. 25% of them have been Volunteers in past editions and have decided to repeat the experience.
Who are the 2007 Volunteers?
The vast majority of “off-shore” Volunteers are men (75%) with an average age of 39. “On shore” Volunteers are primarily women (70%) with an average age of 26.
Although the deadline for the selection process has officially passed, we will still maintain on-line registration for anyone who wants to be part of a dynamic, young, spirited and international environment. Any requests that we receive from now onwards will form a “Reserve Team”. In the event that there are larger numbers of public on-site than previously expected, or during a major activity, they will be asked to participate as Volunteers.
What do you need to do?
You need:
- To be over 18
- A high level of Spanish (preferably mother tongue)
- A good level of English is an added advantage
- For positions on the water the Spanish PER nautical certificate is a valuable advantage
- Availability to participate on morning or afternoon shifts, or a full day, for continuous or discontinuous periods
- To be living in Valencia
Fill in the registration form below and if your profile should meet our requirements we will contact you for an interview.
